Will he or won't he? That is the question on everyone's minds as Groundhog Day, February 2nd, approaches. Traditionally when the groundhog sticks his head out of his hole, if he sees his shadow there will be six more weeks of Winter, but if he doesn't, that means Spring isn't quite as far away as we think! Here on Long Island, we've got a few of our own Groundhogs - Holtsville Hal (pictured right), and Malverne Mel, who are eager to rise to the occasion, and let us know if there's
Whether the Groundhog sees his shadow or not though, you can be sure that there are plenty of fun family-friendly events going on across the Island to celebrate Groundhog Day!

Super Bowl XLIX will be kicking off soon this Winter, February 1st to be exact! This much awaited and anticipated sporting event is a huge staple in American culture and the hype and excitement leading up to the Super Bowl, and during, is an atmosphere unlike any other.
